There’s a diesel-powered Jaguar XF on U.S. pavement, but fantastic luck catching a peek at it.
The 2.2-liter, four-cylinder diesel XF trigger on Nov. eleven on the cross-country street trip, the purpose being to check how far it may proceed just one tank of gas.
Jaguar claims the 2.2-liter XF is the most fuel-efficient Jaguar developed up to now. With 187 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, it’s said to accelerate from 0 to sixty mph within a respectable 8 seconds flat and reaches a top velocity of 140 mph.
The British-registered XF will make its way across 2,800 miles and eleven states, rolling from New york to Los angeles in approximately seven days. Behind the wheel are independent U.K. examination motorists David and Alexander Madgwick.
The mission follows a similar European enterprise that sent a distinct XF diesel on an 816-mile journey from Castle Bromwich inside the United kingdom to Munich, Germany, on the single tank of fuel.
